Cylindrical handle of a tripod clay cooking pot and other fragments. 17th century. Found on the access road of the castle and around the gate of ramparts. LžNM p1028/1-4
The vessel was probably imported or made by a local German potter.
A fragment of clay bowl with light brown inside glazing and horizontally placed handle. 17th - 18th century. Found in the area of main castle gate. LžNM 20768

A fragment of bronze spoon handle with engraved shape of a pelican/crane on its side. The broader side of spoon in split to make place for an insert of spoon or fork. 16th - 17th century. Found on the pavement of castle gate. LžNM 20764
A brass spigot for a barrel. Found in the North - West block of the castle among ruins above the cellar arch. Late 16th - early 17th century. LžNM 20776
A bowl of decorated white clay smoking pipe with lower extension - so called foot. 18th - 19th century. Found by the building on Burtnieku street 5. LžNM 25891.
Stem fragments of white clay Dutch smoking pipes with imprinted letters - IOHA and G.WEYS. 17th - 19th century. Found in the castle moat, on Pils street and pavement of the castle access road. LžNM 25892/1-2. Since early 17th century Holland became the leader in fashion and production of the white clay smoking pipes. The most stylish and expensive Baroque style pipes had stems longer than three feet. By the late 18th century there were two clay pipe factories in Riga.
Lead bullets for a musket - smoothbore gun. 17th - 18th century. Found by the hillfort ramparts and near hillfort on Burtnieku street 5.-7.. LžNM 25898-25901, p9653/1-2
A slate grindstone. 14th - 18th century. Found by the Limbazi castle gate. The dating of such grindstones is quite problematic since those were in use for a very long period of history. The shards of roof tiles also were used as tool sharpeners. LžNM 20761.
Knife with a bone handle. 15th - 18th century. Found in the ruins of castle courtyard. LžNM p10243
Fragments of horseshoes. 16th - 18th century. Found on the ground floor and the west side of hillfort. LžNM p11319, 22976. The horseshoes could come from the former castle manor stables.
Bones of cattle and wild animals. Could be cooking leftovers. Found all around the courtyard and hillfort. The cultural layer of 16th - 17th century above the castle access road pavement by the main gate was saturated with the fish and animal bones.
Blacksmith made construction nails. 16th - 18th century. Found on hillfort. LžNM p11346/1-2, p7504/1-5. The length of broadhead nails exclude their possible use in fortification of walls and gates. Most probably they were used in castle and castle manor buildings.
Fragment of a window glass. 16th - 18th century. Found on the side of hillfort towards Muru street. LžNM p11341. The glass was made by flattening or rolling a molten mass. Probably this glass was a part of lead lined window.
Bottle shards of 18th - 19th century. Found in the courtyard and cellar of the North - East block. LžNM 22975, 23130- 23132.
Silver sechsgroschen of the Polish king Jan II Casimir Vasa. Coined in Krakow. Found on Burtnieku street 7, in front of the main building of castle manor. LžNM p10382.
